Great to be Here!
I must say it is great to be sitting here this morning typing away. I spent most of last week looking up from a hospital bed. Not an enjoyable experience. I was suffering from some respiritory problems and I hope to have them under control. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
While I was in the hospital my Bible study turned toward 1 Corinthians. I really enjoy reading Paul's writing. Sometimes he makes me chuckle with the word pictures he uses. For example, in chapter 1 verse 25,"the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men." Now think about that just a second. Is there any foolishness or weakness to be found in God? I think not, but Paul is making a point. It is difficult for us to operate within a relationship where we can not comprehend all that is going on. God's plan often defies all logic. Paul continues to write that God uses the weak and foolish things of this world to shame the wise and the strong (finally an explanation of what I'm doing in God's service.) Why does he work like this? He knows that if I were to have any wisdom or strength that I would get the big head and take all the credit. Instead I am amazed when he works in the lives of the foolish and weak. He gets the glory.
Once again, it's great to be upright. Thanks for the prayers.
